Woe is Christmas

i think santa took us off his list this year. sigh. jack and i will have christmas on our own - again - for the umpteenth time.

oh well.

for noche buena (christmas eve dinner) - here is our menu:

• filipino spaghetti (yes with hot dogs)
• lumpia shanghai
• rice
  

for christmas morning:

• breakfast quiche
• eggnog french toast (for jack)
  
• hot cocoa with whipped cream
  

christmas dinner:

• turkey breast, roasted with lemon & thyme
• couscous with vegetables - instead of stuffing
  
• black forest brussel sprouts (with onions, bacon)
• sauteed green beans
• pecan pie
  

and since we're having quite the snow storm and icy roads... these foods will be plenty enough that we don't have to leave to go on the road for food. lots of leftovers. i love roasted turkey sammiches.
