christmas, in the end, was in seattle this year. tried to drive the 12 hours to reno but alas, the snow & ice did not make for a good drive. we tried to fly out to vegas but alas the de-icer failed to show up and jetblue canceled all flights.
west seattle was one icy hill so we stayed home. you'd think jack and i would kill each other being house bound for almost a week and also with the strains of stress and defeat from trying to make it home for the holidays. but we did good. we laughed and ate. and watched movies that were rented.
we missed being with family for thanksgiving and christmas this year - next year, we hope, will be a different story.
